Hi, I’m Hassaan Vani.
I like finding out.
Usually by making something, occasionally by taking a very long detour.
A question is a good place to start.
I’m a student at Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, New York, graduating in June 2027. I build software and engineering projects that give me a way to explore the things I don’t understand yet.
Sometimes that means connecting computer vision to a robot arm. Sometimes it means turning course materials into practice exams, or looking for a useful measurement in a patch of color. The subject changes. The impulse is usually the same: can I make this work, and what will I learn if I try?
Things make more sense when you explain them.
Through Coding Caravan, I teach Scratch, Python, and web development to younger students. I also built my computer science teacher’s course website. Making something another person can use is its own kind of test.
Away from the code.
I’m a Public Forum captain and secretary in Speech and Debate, and a Science Bowl captain and physics specialist. Researching an argument, answering a physics question, and debugging a program all make me look a little harder at my assumptions.
Following a few threads.
Machine perception. Computational economics. How to check the things a model tells you. And how to turn an intricate technical project into an explanation someone actually wants to read.
